Our recent editorial at Walkers Pointe Venue in Springville, Alabama brought all of those elements together through a dreamy palette of soft blues, muted greens, and delicate neutrals.

Created in collaboration with an incredibly talented team of wedding professionals, this shoot was designed to celebrate the opening of a beautiful new Alabama wedding venue while offering inspiration for couples drawn to a wedding day that feels refined, romantic, and effortlessly Southern.

A Cool-Toned Take on Southern Romance

The inspiration began with color.

Rather than leaning into the warmer hues often associated with Southern weddings, we embraced a cooler palette of dusty blue, soft sage, layered greens, and creamy neutrals. The result felt fresh and ethereal while still maintaining the sense of tradition and romance we wanted throughout the editorial.

Organic florals and delicate textures softened the palette, while thoughtful details added dimension without overwhelming the natural beauty of the setting. Every element was intentionally layered to create a celebration that felt collected rather than overly styled.

Introducing Walkers Pointe Venue

Nestled in Springville, Alabama, Walkers Pointe provided a beautiful backdrop for the day.

As a new wedding venue, the property offered the perfect opportunity to create something that highlighted both its surroundings and its potential. From intimate portraits to thoughtfully styled reception details, each scene was designed to show how the venue could transform into a setting for a romantic and elevated wedding celebration.

There is something especially exciting about photographing a new venue for the first time. The possibilities feel endless, and every corner becomes an opportunity to imagine the celebrations that will eventually take place there.

Paper Details Inspired by the Setting

For the stationery, we wanted the paper to feel like a natural extension of the editorial rather than a separate element.

Soft blue and green tones carried the color story onto paper, while refined typography and romantic details gave the suite a timeless quality. The goal was to create stationery that felt elegant without being overly formal, pieces that could just as easily belong at an intimate Southern celebration as they could at a grand, traditional wedding.
